ABOUT ABOUT

“CHAMPIONS OF EXCELLENCE” EVENING TO HONOR SCHOOL-DISTRICT AND COMMUNITY LEADERS FOR MENTORING AND OTHER VITAL CONTRIBUTIONS

Exciting early-evening event at Rancho Mirage High School’s Helene Galen Performing Arts Center combines reception, awards ceremony, and entertainment!

The event this year will include a festive pre-award reception, the exciting awards ceremony itself, and top-tier vocal, jazz, and brief dramatic performances by some of the district’s most talented students.  And in a special collaboration with the District’s Culinary Academy, culinary students will be prepping and serving tasty reception delicacies for hundreds of expected guests, under the supervision of PSUSD’s Chef Merrick and celebrated Palm Springs guest-chef Bianca DeVries.

This year, the Palm Springs Unified School District’s 3rd annual “Champions of Excellence” event will be bringing together the district and community to once again acknowledge and celebrate the hard work being done, and the dedication being displayed, on behalf of our students, neighborhoods, and families.

Each year, “Champions of Excellence” honors district certified employees, district classified employees (including retirees), and community members who have made notable contributions to the furtherance of excellence in education in PSUSD -- for mentoring, for serving as role models or outstanding leaders, or providing resources above and beyond the norm.

Admission is free, but your no-cost ticket is required for entry.
